Things have happened and lives have changed. I still craft and will always continue to. I have been really busy with school and TRYING to find a job. At the beginning of the week I prayed that that two good things would happen to me, one that I would get into St. Kate's (a private university here in St. Paul) and that I would finally find a job. So far I have gotten into St. Kate's, and although I am very excited I am very woried about the cost of attending there. It is close to $14,000 a semester and although I do have a $5,000 academic scholarship I am still a little worried about paying for everything. This is why I really need the job. I have applied at seriously over a hundred places all to be told that they are currently not hiring but will keep my application on file. OR I have been told I can have a job but....January 4th I will be laid off again. I am looking for part time work only so that I can concentrate on graduating and getting a real job...as a teacher. Unfortunately, since I am a full time student I do not qualify for unemployment in the state of Minnesota, so I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I can get unemployment but I will have to drop out or drop to part time, and I cant lie and say that "no I am not in school" because I have a government backed student loan.<br /><br />So I really just need this other thing-getting a job- to happen to me this week.<br /><br />I will be getting back to the crafting thing shortly. I have a few projects that I am currently working on (what else is new) and will post them shortly. I have been teaching after school classes to elementary children for a few weeks now. It is very fun and rewarding. This week they are making graham cracker castles.<br /><br />Cheers for now!craft chicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00917652401880034565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7393737110827696806.post-16928875365230086272009-07-17T14:02:00.001-07:002009-07-17T14:02:53.569-07:00change is betterI changed it up a bit. We had so much fun. J came with and was the only boy but he had a blast.<br /><br />We made a bunch of things that had to do with the ocean.<br /><br />Monday we made oceans in a jar. I took large mason jars and had the kids put sea shells, marbles, and little plastic fish in them. We filled the jar with water and then added blue food coloring. I put about a cup of regular old cooking oil in the jars and then we closed them up. When you shake them up you have an ocean in the jar! The kids LOVED to make them! I let them put stickers on the outside of the jars. The stickers are seethru so it made it look like the pictures were on the inside of the jar!<br /><br />Tuesday we made Tie Dye tshirts. I did not ask any parents if I could put their child on my web site so I just made them all into smiley faces!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sl-DTIKC2xI/AAAAAAAAAPo/0V40E6xx3-I/s1600-h/group3.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sl-DTIKC2xI/AAAAAAAAAPo/0V40E6xx3-I/s320/group3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359146446224546578" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Wednesday we made sparkly shell frames. I bought a bunch of bleached clam shells and plain picture frames. The kids painted the frames and then put glitter on the shells. I glued the shells onto the frames. I took pictures of them and then super imposed them into an undersea background. This is J's so you get an idea. Then I put them into the picture frames. The kids thought that was super funny.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sl-DTaSfQOI/AAAAAAAAAPw/bRRlmAcr57Q/s1600-h/jonah+undersea.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 229px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sl-DTaSfQOI/AAAAAAAAAPw/bRRlmAcr57Q/s320/jonah+undersea.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359146451091800290" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Today we made Beach bums. I took jelly sized mason jars and let the kids layer the sand (my colored sand I made last week!) into the jar. After they did that I had straw hats, hair, wiggle eyes, pipe cleaners, foam surfboards, and pom poms for them to make the jars into little people. J said that this was is favorite.<br /><br />Well then he changed is mind to the ocean in the jar. Then he changed his mind to the Tie Dye. I think that that means he liked them all.<br /><br />The other girls in the class really want me to teach other classes.<br /><br />It was such a fun week I am really sad that it had to end. The kids were all so creative and adorable and funny. I really had a blast. I probably had more fun than they did! It was really nice having J in my class because he was an honest oppinion of my teaching skills.<br /><br />Now I just have to graduate so I can teach all the time!craft chicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00917652401880034565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7393737110827696806.post-31933042973972253572009-07-11T19:14:00.000-07:002009-07-11T19:30:15.083-07:00Boring is never boring at my hosuseSo the sand turned out ok. For the life of me I could not find any colored sand. Then I had an idea. With a quick search in swagbucks I found out that I can dye sand with food coloring. Granted all of the "recipes" were for small amounts of sand and I needed about 20 pounds of sand! So I had to improvise...<br /><br />I went to the pet store and got 2 10 pound bags of white hermit crab sand. Nature's Ocean!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Slc1Zt2WvjI/AAAAAAAAAOo/eOc-4wJyF7M/s1600-h/P1000776.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Slc1Zt2WvjI/AAAAAAAAAOo/eOc-4wJyF7M/s320/P1000776.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356808997701074482" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I figured the best way to do this with out making a huge mess was in ziplock bags. I even warned you my readers that it would happen. However did I think it was going to happen this bad? No. I pulled my pocked chenille out of the washer after it'd dye bath. Remember this was the chenille I was trying to dye deep chocolate brown.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDFDVhu5I/AAAAAAAAALI/n7bqOUCtJAk/s1600-h/IMG_1436.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDFDVhu5I/AAAAAAAAALI/n7bqOUCtJAk/s320/IMG_1436.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356542560877788050" border="0" /></a><br /><br />It is tan. And barely tan at that. I am sad but I am going to use it anyway. The color fortunately still matches the others that I had chosen. I really wanted a really dark brown that would pop. this color just looks well, dirty.<br /><br />Boo.<br /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Attempt:<br /></span><br />My cousin AW wants a tunic style muumuu to use as a swimsuit cover up. Similar to the one I wore in the Bahamas. She said she wanted black but that was all of the direction that I got. I decided to get creative and add pockets. I drafted a pattern out of another pattern that I had.<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"></span><br /><br /></span></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDFfn9ycI/AAAAAAAAALQ/nytZMRROUhQ/s1600-h/IMG_1454.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDFfn9ycI/AAAAAAAAALQ/nytZMRROUhQ/s320/IMG_1454.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356542568471316930" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Yes, I use taped together tissue paper for patterns. It is way cheaper and easier for me to store. Anyway I found these to great fabrics in the bargain bin! The first is a shear <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">tye</span> dye. I hated the idea of a solid black cover up. My thought behind this loathing is that she will be in the sun and black is well hot. I liked that this had pops of white and will act as a deflector. However her swimsuit is black and she wants it to match.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDFv_pjxI/AAAAAAAAALY/3MTSelTvPAQ/s1600-h/IMG_1456.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDFv_pjxI/AAAAAAAAALY/3MTSelTvPAQ/s320/IMG_1456.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356542572865621778" border="0" /></a><br /><br />The second I LOVE. It is a shear synthetic silk. OH FOR LUXURIOUS! I was swaddling my face in this fabric pretending I was in Tahiti. Problem. It is blue. AW does not want blue. This is the material I am going to experiment with....that way if my pattern is completely off, it is at least in the material I think AW is going to like least.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDGEf9AVI/AAAAAAAAALg/QG5tulyR9qo/s1600-h/IMG_1459.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDGEf9AVI/AAAAAAAAALg/QG5tulyR9qo/s320/IMG_1459.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356542578369823058" border="0" /></a><br /><br />There was only enough of it for one. Sad. and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">unfortunately</span> aw and I are not the same size. Bummer. I am wondering how this pattern I drew is going to come out. I am concerned where the pockets hit (on the hips) and the weight of the fabric it is just going to look like you have a giant tumor on either side of you hips. NOT ATTRACTIVE. On the bright side...if the pockets look atrocious, I can sew em up and take them out. they are invisible side pockets.<br /><br />However, pockets on the front might look really cute? but with a shear fabric I am not so sure. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Hmmm</span>, something to think about I guess.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Success:</span><br />Maybe a tutorial as well!<br /><br />I am teaching a summer enrichment craft class for young children next week. I am really excited about it. (As you know I am going to school for elementary education and I just think this is going to be my first taste of what the rest of my life will be like!) Anyway I wanted something for the kids to take home at the end of the week with some goodies in them and I needed a bag to put them in. If you are like me you have rolls <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">upon</span> rolls of wrapping paper. I came up with this idea:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZF32EYKsI/AAAAAAAAANo/UNAbmILvtE0/s1600-h/IMG_1477.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZF32EYKsI/AAAAAAAAANo/UNAbmILvtE0/s320/IMG_1477.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356545632512780994" border="0" /></a><br /><br />It was super simple to make. I used wrapping paper, a box from my pantry, ribbon, a hole punch, and good ole scotch tape.<br /><br />I decided to use this baby wrap. The <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">theme</span> of our week at school is at the beach. Where this paper does not <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">necessarily</span> reflect that, the dots kind of remind me of bubbles.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDGl2UPFI/AAAAAAAAALo/SK-dx0EHkq4/s1600-h/IMG_1460.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDGl2UPFI/AAAAAAAAALo/SK-dx0EHkq4/s320/IMG_1460.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356542587321990226" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I wanted square bottom tall bags. So I used a box of Hungry Jack Pancake Packs for my mold. You can obviously use what ever box you want. You could use an oatmeal box for a cylinder!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDoPLr_YI/AAAAAAAAALw/PoscNY2oLVA/s1600-h/IMG_1462.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDoPLr_YI/AAAAAAAAALw/PoscNY2oLVA/s320/IMG_1462.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356543165353164162" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Anyway, I cut the width of paper to make sure it went all the way around the box with out a ton of over lap. Just like you would when wrapping a gift. Then I cut that piece in half by folding the top to the bottom, creasing and cutting along the crease. You can see this cut in the next picture.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDoXxWKOI/AAAAAAAAAL4/pXocPEGzops/s1600-h/IMG_1463.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDoXxWKOI/AAAAAAAAAL4/pXocPEGzops/s320/IMG_1463.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356543167658600674" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I placed the box along the bottom edge of the paper where the paper came to just above the center line when folded up.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDo2o9unI/AAAAAAAAAMA/0wSdcLhEQKI/s1600-h/IMG_1464.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDo2o9unI/AAAAAAAAAMA/0wSdcLhEQKI/s320/IMG_1464.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356543175944944242" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Then I let go of the edge and started to wrap the box. When you pull the side edges up to meet it is kind of tricky; usually when I wrap a gift I tape the one side of the paper to the gift, and then tape the other side of the paper to the paper. However you will be removing the box so you can not do this. ALSO you need to wrap slightly looser than you usually would so that you can remove the box with out the corners ripping the paper. (Don't worry if this happens to you, it happened to me about 3 times before I figured out that I needed to wrap it looser.) I Just put one small piece of tape on the outside along the two edges. It is hard to see but it is there.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDpI_COLI/AAAAAAAAAMI/vbRCk8kQNGw/s1600-h/IMG_1465.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDpI_COLI/AAAAAAAAAMI/vbRCk8kQNGw/s320/IMG_1465.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356543180869351602" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Continue to wrap the box by finishing off the bottom. There are thousands of ways to wrap boxes. I am going to let you decide how you wish to do it. However if you have never wrapped a box, I fold in the sides first, making sharp creases on the folds. Then I fold down the top. On the bottom piece I fold the point to make a straight edge and fold up. It will look sort of like an envelope. I attached tape to the strait edge of the bottom fold and to the corner folds to keep the edges down.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDpZn7BeI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/cFnHqHkTD5s/s1600-h/IMG_1466.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZDpZn7BeI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/cFnHqHkTD5s/s320/IMG_1466.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356543185335813602" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Now it is time to pull out your box.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZEzV4MSII/AAAAAAAAAMY/p01zoYEjAuk/s1600-h/IMG_1467.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZEzV4MSII/AAAAAAAAAMY/p01zoYEjAuk/s320/IMG_1467.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356544455640631426" border="0" /></a><br /><br />You now have almost a bag. If you stand your bag up, and look down into it, you will see a few flaps that need to be secured with a little tape.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZEzilrYTI/AAAAAAAAAMg/F2NZq7p3CuI/s1600-h/IMG_1468.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZEzilrYTI/AAAAAAAAAMg/F2NZq7p3CuI/s320/IMG_1468.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356544459052638514" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I found that it is much easier to stand up and look down into your bag rather than try to guess where the tape will go while sitting.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZE0iIuQ0I/AAAAAAAAAM4/U1s3HcHgtdk/s1600-h/IMG_1471.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZE0iIuQ0I/AAAAAAAAAM4/U1s3HcHgtdk/s320/IMG_1471.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356544476111061826" border="0" /></a><br />Once your inside is taped down it is time to make the side seams. (please forgive my next picture. I was home by my self and had no one to take the picture. I did my best.) The easiest way I found to make the side seams was to pinch the bottom corner and the top where you want the seam to end. Pinch and pull slightly, this will make a slight crease. Just run your fingers up that crease to make it good and sharp!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZEzy2rD0I/AAAAAAAAAMo/OpHiucXScPM/s1600-h/IMG_1469.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZEzy2rD0I/AAAAAAAAAMo/OpHiucXScPM/s320/IMG_1469.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356544463418888002" border="0" /></a><br />(pinching the ends)<br /><br />Now your bag will stand up by it's self and actually looks like a bag!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZE0fYkaQI/AAAAAAAAAMw/42y-GvKBHl4/s1600-h/IMG_1470.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SlZE0fYkaQI/AAAAAAAAAMw/42y-GvKBHl4/s320/IMG_1470.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356544475372218626" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Now it is time to fill your bag! A few years back I made some coasters for <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">gramma</span> with pictures of her <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">grandkids</span> and kids on them. She said that they were too pretty to use and she keeps them hidden in the kitchen. I wanted to make something that she could keep out on the coffee table for when her Red Hat Ladies came over she could show them.<br /><br />I took 1.5 inch blocks and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">colored</span> the edges blue.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SkuAXKK8awI/AAAAAAAAAKo/1Ifn8u5yrW0/s1600-h/IMG_1428.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SkuAXKK8awI/AAAAAAAAAKo/1Ifn8u5yrW0/s320/IMG_1428.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353513717415570178" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SkuAXnHBbkI/AAAAAAAAAK4/pCB7KmRC6GA/s1600-h/IMG_1431.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SkuAXnHBbkI/AAAAAAAAAK4/pCB7KmRC6GA/s320/IMG_1431.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353513725183749698" border="0" /></a><br />Picked out some pictures and used a double sided adhesive to attach the pictures to the blocks.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SkuAXQe65bI/AAAAAAAAAKw/Y86UntExftA/s1600-h/IMG_1432.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SkuAXQe65bI/AAAAAAAAAKw/Y86UntExftA/s320/IMG_1432.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353513719109969330" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I didn't like the adhesive. I bought this awesome bag of Bahamian material scraps for 20$! Super pumped about it, going to make some bags, AW wants a reversible tote like I have. I will have to wait to put a picture of the lovely find later, I can not seam to find the camera cord from vacation. So since my trip I have updated my current projects to things that were requested of me to make. I found out my little cousin AA is going to school in Georgia for fashion design. I am excited for her!<div><br /></div><div>Anyway, here are a few pictures of T and I in the Bahamas<br /><div><br /></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski409-8giI/AAAAAAAAAKg/gAnddO4zDK0/s1600-h/IMG_1244.JPG"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski409-8giI/AAAAAAAAAKg/gAnddO4zDK0/s320/IMG_1244.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352731377261117986" style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski40ihE_zI/AAAAAAAAAKY/fTsNu1pGn7M/s1600-h/IMG_1245.JPG"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski40ihE_zI/AAAAAAAAAKY/fTsNu1pGn7M/s320/IMG_1245.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352731369888087858" style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski40ehjbPI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/rO5glhBMHX8/s1600-h/P6250099.JPG"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski40ehjbPI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/rO5glhBMHX8/s320/P6250099.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352731368816340210" style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" border="0" /></a></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski4z_aDBPI/AAAAAAAAAKI/FhX7Z7eo4VY/s1600-h/IMG_0982.JPG"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski4z_aDBPI/AAAAAAAAAKI/FhX7Z7eo4VY/s320/IMG_0982.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352731360463357170" style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski4zmeohZI/AAAAAAAAAKA/8lURwqeb0IY/s1600-h/IMG_0959.JPG"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Ski4zmeohZI/AAAAAAAAAKA/8lURwqeb0IY/s320/IMG_0959.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352731353771705746" style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" /></a><br /></div></div>craft chicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00917652401880034565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7393737110827696806.post-29171161106483412322009-06-18T05:15:00.000-07:002009-11-11T06:47:05.365-08:00books and blankets.Yesterday I finished a few projects. The first is a copy. Not really. My mom liked her address book but....she found her old one and liked that one better and since the addresses were already in it...she wanted a cover for that one. So after craft club last Saturday we went to <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">JoAnn</span> where she picked out her felt and thread. She chose ORANGE -shocker- yellow for the contrast and a pretty blue for the thread.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo3ytFTJxI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/-ZUwywot1Po/s1600-h/IMG_0884.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo3ytFTJxI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/-ZUwywot1Po/s320/IMG_0884.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348648851690694418" border="0" /></a><br />My mom drives an ORANGE beetle so I thought I would put a little beetle on the front of it. I actually remembered my tag on this one! I glued it to a small piece of yellow and then sewed around the yellow.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo3zOh5DsI/AAAAAAAAAIY/j5aoE2rYJBo/s1600-h/IMG_0885.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo3zOh5DsI/AAAAAAAAAIY/j5aoE2rYJBo/s320/IMG_0885.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348648860668989122" border="0" /></a><br />**bad photo alert**<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo3zWibH8I/AAAAAAAAAIg/0uisMzw-aGs/s1600-h/IMG_0886.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo3zWibH8I/AAAAAAAAAIg/0uisMzw-aGs/s320/IMG_0886.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348648862818705346" border="0" /></a><br />I again sewed on a pen holder and the pocket for her notes.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo3ztt79ZI/AAAAAAAAAIo/pNT4g0IBCbk/s1600-h/IMG_0887.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo3ztt79ZI/AAAAAAAAAIo/pNT4g0IBCbk/s320/IMG_0887.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348648869041010066" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo30GTbj6I/AAAAAAAAAIw/rHUEgfae6WU/s1600-h/IMG_0888.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo30GTbj6I/AAAAAAAAAIw/rHUEgfae6WU/s320/IMG_0888.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348648875640721314" border="0" /></a><br />And she loves it.<br /><br />I also finished my first quilt. I am pretty excited about it as it is my first one. If you remember I chose brown chenille, lime "jelly bean" cotton, pink and blue baby check cotton, a floral cotton, and a stripe flannel. As I started to sew the small squares together I quickly realized that the chenille was going to be a pain.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo4irABWBI/AAAAAAAAAI4/k6pgJCB9FiA/s1600-h/IMG_0890.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo4irABWBI/AAAAAAAAAI4/k6pgJCB9FiA/s320/IMG_0890.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348649675765405714" border="0" /></a><br />It kinda does it's own thing and slightly distorts the square a little. But I kept on keeping on. After I sewed all my 4 blocks into one block and pressed the seams I sewed strips of alternating 4block and "jelly bean" block.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo4jKj3-MI/AAAAAAAAAJA/-M5xbX-e_Us/s1600-h/IMG_0891.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo4jKj3-MI/AAAAAAAAAJA/-M5xbX-e_Us/s320/IMG_0891.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348649684237285570" border="0" /></a><br />The next step was to sew my strips of alternating blocks to long strips of stripe flannel. The first one I did i sewed on backwards. Sometimes I really have mental lapses.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo4jZmqk8I/AAAAAAAAAJI/vrRwHaA22J0/s1600-h/IMG_0893.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo4jZmqk8I/AAAAAAAAAJI/vrRwHaA22J0/s320/IMG_0893.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348649688275522498" border="0" /></a><br />Anyway after I ripped out that seam and re sewed it I alternated the stripe and the the multi-strips. this is generally what it looked like when all together.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo4jndaiuI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/yIwRmCStc5A/s1600-h/IMG_0894.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo4jndaiuI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/yIwRmCStc5A/s320/IMG_0894.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348649691994819298" border="0" /></a><br />I sandwiched the front, batting and a large sheet of the flannel together and started to "quilt." Now like I said. I have never done this before and wanted to keep it as easy as possible. So I chose to make 2 long "s" down the stripes and "x" going down the multi-strips. You can kind of see what I am talking about here.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo5QBnIUmI/AAAAAAAAAJg/mDhu7UHOZlw/s1600-h/IMG_0896.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo5QBnIUmI/AAAAAAAAAJg/mDhu7UHOZlw/s320/IMG_0896.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348650454929134178" border="0" /></a><br />The "s" are kind of crooked but I kind of like it that way. (but i accidentally <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">zig</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">zag</span> sewed over it...you can still see the tag but it has been sewed over.)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo-5z7NIKI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/9Avc8A2WNYA/s1600-h/IMG_0900.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo-5z7NIKI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/9Avc8A2WNYA/s320/IMG_0900.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348656670367883426" border="0" /></a><br />Here is the finished project.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo5QkX2H6I/AAAAAAAAAJo/aawSU6VlJ3k/s1600-h/IMG_0897.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjo5QkX2H6I/AAAAAAAAAJo/aawSU6VlJ3k/s320/IMG_0897.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348650464260267938" border="0" /></a><br />I rolled her up and tied some pretty ribbon around it. It was really fun actually! There was just me, mom and Y. It was so nice to spread out. I craft in the tiniest of all tiny spaces. OUR DINING ROOM TABLE. Many of you may say that it is not so bad, that maybe even you might do that. However our DR table is tiny. about 3 feet by 2 feet. I swear. It is the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">JOKKMOKK</span> from <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Ikea</span>. We spent a whopping 125 on it, the 4 chairs, and the chair pads. It works perfect for dinner for the three of us, and since J was 4 when we got it we wanted something that if he colored on it or spilled oatmeal (that we <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">don't</span> find till after we get home form milk and it has now seeped into the wood and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">permanently</span> stained it white) on, it wont mater. HOWEVER it sucks for crafting.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjapqAvTNeI/AAAAAAAAAGQ/MreOwY5AJB0/s1600-h/IMG_0844.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjapqAvTNeI/AAAAAAAAAGQ/MreOwY5AJB0/s320/IMG_0844.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347648146767033826" border="0" /></a><br />I have to keep my Mobile Sewing room next to me on the floor.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjapqo9Vg6I/AAAAAAAAAGY/mNY2hErAZlY/s1600-h/IMG_0845.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjapqo9Vg6I/AAAAAAAAAGY/mNY2hErAZlY/s320/IMG_0845.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347648157563323298" border="0" /></a><br />The other problem I have is that I have to stay organized but I have to move everything 14 times in one day. So I started to use giant shopping bags, and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Ziploc</span> bags to keep all of my "current" projects in.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjapq4jo_tI/AAAAAAAAAGg/Y52bIGB4X6Q/s1600-h/IMG_0846.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjapq4jo_tI/AAAAAAAAAGg/Y52bIGB4X6Q/s320/IMG_0846.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347648161750515410" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjaprSVy_9I/AAAAAAAAAGo/w4OZ9tXvRoU/s1600-h/IMG_0847.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjaprSVy_9I/AAAAAAAAAGo/w4OZ9tXvRoU/s320/IMG_0847.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347648168671772626" border="0" /></a><br />It works pretty good. I am still praying like no one has ever prayed before that we get this house we are trying to buy....not only is it 12 times bigger than the house we live in now...but I get a CRAFT ROOM! Holey <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Guacamole</span>! T has decided to give up his idea of a sports room to allow me to have a craft room. I think he is just sick of seeing my sewing machine next to him when he is eating his dinner. But heck! I will take it!<br /><br />So any way I went to craft club. It is a monthly <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">stitch</span> and bitch that I have not been able to go to yet because I always worked on Saturday's. And since I am now unemployed I can go! It takes place at her and Y's work. Apparently most of the other women that usually go work there too, but since my mom works there I am invited. We craft in <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">their</span> training room which has these lovely long tables that you can spread out all over.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjarccVrhXI/AAAAAAAAAHA/xoUzCnqYerY/s1600-h/IMG_0866.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjarccVrhXI/AAAAAAAAAHA/xoUzCnqYerY/s320/IMG_0866.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347650112680854898" border="0" /></a><br />I was the last to show up and we were not there for very long before we heard it....<br />**beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep**<br />Some how I set off the security alarm.<br />Oops.<br />The cops came.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjaprlyXCyI/AAAAAAAAAGw/zyIG9qepqi8/s1600-h/IMG_0863.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjaprlyXCyI/AAAAAAAAAGw/zyIG9qepqi8/s320/IMG_0863.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347648173891848994" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjarb0-zmDI/AAAAAAAAAG4/UHB7jnEiysE/s1600-h/IMG_0864.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Sjarb0-zmDI/AAAAAAAAAG4/UHB7jnEiysE/s320/IMG_0864.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347650102115932210" border="0" /></a><br />He thought it was kind of funny that there were 3 chicks in the training room all sewing away!<br />He gave my mom some sheet of paper and let us do our thing.<br /><br />Apparently most weeks, there is not so much drama...I must bring it.<br /><br />So, at craft club I decided to start on a quilt. Possibly followed by a longer one later. Depends on how much I get done :)<br /><br />I made some pants for J with the scraps (I just noticed the word crap is is scrap.) from T's robe. I did not have a pattern, rather I just traced a pair of his pants that fit him well. Not the best little pants in the world...but they work for the purpose of pj's.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjJT03OYEnI/AAAAAAAAAGI/rjju8AUpYkQ/s1600-h/IMG_0806.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjJT03OYEnI/AAAAAAAAAGI/rjju8AUpYkQ/s320/IMG_0806.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346427875284750962" border="0" /></a>craft chicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00917652401880034565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7393737110827696806.post-43995852712073331022009-06-11T08:17:00.001-07:002009-06-11T09:14:47.292-07:00Address book and Letter BookOver the weekend my mother decided she needed a new address book. I swear she goes through address books quicker than any one I know! I had this idea for a felt covered journal for K and new baby A. I went to the dollar store and found these two, cute but obnoxious books. One is an address book (the one that says addresses :) ) and the stripy one is a journal.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgXFlm7HI/AAAAAAAAAEA/thcFAcqFm4U/s1600-h/IMG_0797.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgXFlm7HI/AAAAAAAAAEA/thcFAcqFm4U/s320/IMG_0797.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346089813674486898" border="0" /></a><br />Not to shabby for $2.16!<br /><br />My mom's I was going to make with Orange felt as this is her favorite color, and although not shown I chose a really dark brown for K's.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgXZ2ydEI/AAAAAAAAAEI/Nv4I_D3ldp0/s1600-h/IMG_0798.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgXZ2ydEI/AAAAAAAAAEI/Nv4I_D3ldp0/s320/IMG_0798.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346089819115254850" border="0" /></a><br />The first problem I had was that one sheet of felt did not cover either books...so I would have to sew two sheets together to make one long sheet of felt. This is where I put my label. You will see it on K's as I TOTALLY forgot to put it on Mom's (this has been a pain trying to remember to put them on. So far on the 3 things I have made with them on it...I have yet to remember in the beginning of the project and end up having to "just put them somewhere." Hopefully this is a habit that I will grow out of very quickly.)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgXo7CvmI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/CphD04XESjA/s1600-h/IMG_0799.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgXo7CvmI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/CphD04XESjA/s320/IMG_0799.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346089823159631458" border="0" /></a><br />Anyway! The second problem I had was the journal had this magnetic flap on it. But I figured that the felt would cover the edges so I just cut it off.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgX-U9P1I/AAAAAAAAAEY/ZqRGRh3Iu6k/s1600-h/IMG_0802.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 264px; height: 197px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgX-U9P1I/AAAAAAAAAEY/ZqRGRh3Iu6k/s320/IMG_0802.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346089828905467730" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgYP9fkxI/AAAAAAAAAEg/kLdvRCJSs-I/s1600-h/IMG_0803.JPG"> <img style="cursor: pointer; width: 262px; height: 196px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEgYP9fkxI/AAAAAAAAAEg/kLdvRCJSs-I/s320/IMG_0803.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346089833638892306" border="0" /></a><br /><br />ON TO THE SEWING!<br /><br />So I thought I would take the shortcut and machine sew the book cover together. (the first one was my moms since I didn't know what I wanted to put on K's yet.) I chose Turquois thread to contrast the orange.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl3sR5Y8I/AAAAAAAAAEo/YcQCPWEoS1I/s1600-h/IMG_0810.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl3sR5Y8I/AAAAAAAAAEo/YcQCPWEoS1I/s320/IMG_0810.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346095871374746562" border="0" /></a><br />You can see the center seam where I connected the 2 sheets of felt.<br />I went around the edges again for a little contrast and then I noticed problem 3. I did not make the pattern big enough for machine sewing. DUH! So the sleeve of the cover was really tight. Fortunately FELT is really pliable and I just streatched it over the book. **shaking head still not believing that I actually did that**<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl32FldNI/AAAAAAAAAEw/iXMj1EB3CBI/s1600-h/IMG_0813.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl32FldNI/AAAAAAAAAEw/iXMj1EB3CBI/s320/IMG_0813.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346095874007463122" border="0" /></a><br />Because the pattern was too small for the book it did not want to close properly. Then I noticed a solution to problem 3. As you can see from the first picture below (I think you can double click on them and they will get bigger if you can't) the address-book has a wire binding that is surrounded by a cardboard cover. Well there was obvious space in between the wire and the cover. So I again...cut the cover, and folded the edges over it' self. This gave the book more room in the felt cover I had made.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl4MxVubI/AAAAAAAAAE4/XrGPkghbu88/s1600-h/IMG_0814.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 187px; height: 140px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl4MxVubI/AAAAAAAAAE4/XrGPkghbu88/s320/IMG_0814.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346095880096561586" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl4dk07YI/AAAAAAAAAFA/ZdEr4nWgSvo/s1600-h/IMG_0815.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 184px; height: 138px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl4dk07YI/AAAAAAAAAFA/ZdEr4nWgSvo/s320/IMG_0815.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346095884607483266" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl4kt2lPI/AAAAAAAAAFI/hEXQOqHSxG0/s1600-h/IMG_0817.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 190px; height: 142px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEl4kt2lPI/AAAAAAAAAFI/hEXQOqHSxG0/s320/IMG_0817.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346095886524388594" border="0" /></a><br /><br />After throwing a little embroidered star and a pocket for a pen or pencil I was almost done.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoSSMgeXI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/RwWmGqhK2wc/s1600-h/IMG_0822.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoSSMgeXI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/RwWmGqhK2wc/s320/IMG_0822.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346098527252543858" border="0" /></a><br />Mom keeps the passwords to certain websites she frequents often in her address book. She wanted a pocket on the inside so that if she is at work, craft club golf what ever and gets a new password or website she should check out she could put it on a scrap of paper and then tuck it into the pocket. So I made her a pocket.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoSngp6UI/AAAAAAAAAFY/V9lIx8MUjjM/s1600-h/IMG_0823.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoSngp6UI/AAAAAAAAAFY/V9lIx8MUjjM/s320/IMG_0823.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346098532974192962" border="0" /></a><br />Sorry it is sideways...I don't know how to change that yet. (Again something I will have to learn.) SO all in all, I decided that with K's I will just have to hand sew. Then I looked down at my table. My mother had given me one of those tiny irons used for quilting but I wanted to try for my stuff. I thought it would be perfect because it is small and will not take up allot of space. To be honest I have used an old hair flattener for a long time. ANYWAY I looked down and....<br /><br />**GASP**<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoS_fJ2oI/AAAAAAAAAFg/1_gzE1xm-yc/s1600-h/IMG_0819.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 304px; height: 228px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoS_fJ2oI/AAAAAAAAAFg/1_gzE1xm-yc/s320/IMG_0819.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346098539410348674" border="0" /> </a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoTCHXF1I/AAAAAAAAAFo/P4qvvDe_DM8/s1600-h/IMG_0820.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 304px; height: 228px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoTCHXF1I/AAAAAAAAAFo/P4qvvDe_DM8/s320/IMG_0820.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346098540115859282" border="0" /></a><br />Turns out you can not leave those little suckers on felt as it melts onto the iron. Now I have this lovely orange layer on my iron. The layer is the consistancy of enamal. I really do not know what to do to get it off. I think I am going to try and heat it up again and scrape it off with a knife or something. If any one has an idea PLEASE let me know.<br /><br />SO I started on K's. This time like I said I hand sewed all the way around and acctually remembered the lable. I decided to write Letters to A... on the front of the book. I wanted to make a journal that K or her Husband, or grammas and friends can write letters to A as she grows up.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoTZR-FTI/AAAAAAAAAFw/mEgJog5WYuo/s1600-h/IMG_0829.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEoTZR-FTI/AAAAAAAAAFw/mEgJog5WYuo/s320/IMG_0829.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346098546334373170" border="0" /></a><br />The pages of the journal are lined with fuchia (my favorite color lately.) So I chose that color for the contrasting stitching.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEsP7OYs2I/AAAAAAAAAF4/wxnF38TrVJg/s1600-h/IMG_0831.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEsP7OYs2I/AAAAAAAAAF4/wxnF38TrVJg/s320/IMG_0831.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346102884773180258" border="0" /></a><br />Sorry about my foot in the picture. I put a pen pocket and a small pocket on the inside as well. I don't know if that will get used but I thought it was cute.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEsQVTtPCI/AAAAAAAAAGA/mCpN4BLr_Lo/s1600-h/IMG_0834.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEsQVTtPCI/AAAAAAAAAGA/mCpN4BLr_Lo/s320/IMG_0834.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346102891774819362" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Lessons learned from this craft:<br /> 1. Felt is not very long. BUY MORE.<br /> 2. Do not leave the mini iron plugged in and turned on while sitting on felt. Felt=MELT<br /> 3. If you cut a pattern to hand sew....hand sew it. Otherwise cut the pattern bigger for machine sewing.<br /> 4. buy more embroidery thread than you think you will need. You use more than you think you will use. Especially when you use 6 strands.<br /><br />Have a great day!<br /><br />~jcraft chicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00917652401880034565noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7393737110827696806.post-34783476637656013152009-06-10T06:59:00.000-07:002009-06-11T06:24:35.698-07:00fun little gameSo, one of my faves <a href="http://quarterofaninch.blogspot.com/2009/06/whats-in-bloggy-name.html">1/4 of an Inch</a> is having a really cute discussion on her blog about names. Mine is relatively new but has a cute meaning I guess. I have 2.5 meaning for my name. I say 2.5 because one of the reasons is actually 2.... <br /><br />One. Sometimes I have potty mouth. Ok, allot of the times I have potty mouth. Especially when I am crafting. Crap is a word that you hear quite often coming out of my mouth. So a little play on words went from "Oh, Crap!" to "Oh, Craft!"<br /><br />Two. When I say this word/phrase I have 2 ways that I say it. You can say that my blog has split personalities, because I like to think of my blog and my crafting as two distinct people..<br /> a)I live in the united states. Minnesota to be exact. People here talk very similar to in the movie FARGO. With a thick northern accent Oh, Craft! is woman wearing a festive sweater vest saying the name like OOH Cray-ft. Serving Kool-aid and hot dish and cupcakes for dessert.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEEiLBoXFI/AAAAAAAAADg/x2WyTl4x3fM/s1600-h/38.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEEiLBoXFI/AAAAAAAAADg/x2WyTl4x3fM/s320/38.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346059217787182162" /></a><br /> b)However, my mother is a Southern Belle so to speak. She really has a pretty thick accent still. When I was a little girl I desperatly wanted to grow up and be one of the girls at Cypress gardens to be a real southern belle. <br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEE658U91I/AAAAAAAAADo/K9uy3UhzvfM/s1600-h/Belles_waterfall-700509.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEE658U91I/AAAAAAAAADo/K9uy3UhzvfM/s320/Belles_waterfall-700509.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346059642698266450" /></a><br />With the giant dress, bustle and a glass of mint julep saying the name like HOH Cra-IFT. Think Scarlet O'hara or Blanche Devereaux.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEFca8GaqI/AAAAAAAAAD4/OpN0QD-DWBc/s1600-h/bd.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEFca8GaqI/AAAAAAAAAD4/OpN0QD-DWBc/s320/bd.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346060218491366050" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEFGVfGjTI/AAAAAAAAADw/CIZgoGIlG-U/s1600-h/new-mammy-from-getty-homepageimagecomponent.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 242px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/SjEFGVfGjTI/AAAAAAAAADw/CIZgoGIlG-U/s320/new-mammy-from-getty-homepageimagecomponent.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346059839070440754" /></a><br />"I done know nothin bout bloggin Miss Scarlette!"<br /><br />Mostly though. I think it is my potty mouth. <br /><br />I think it is interesting why people choose names for things, businesses, children, books, what ever and I wanted to take part.<br /><br />You should head on over and join the conversation if you like.<br /><br /><br />Got some crafting done yesterday. I will be back later with some photos.<br /><br />~j.craft chicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00917652401880034565noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7393737110827696806.post-7259608414567048332009-06-08T16:21:00.001-07:002009-06-09T11:04:44.207-07:00holy heck of a postSO. I did in fact loose my job. I am not entirely upset about this though. It gives me time to focus on school and to get some crafting done! Both are really important to me. I am going to school for ELEMENTARY EDUCATION. I am pretty pumped about it. I have a pretty aggressive course load so that I can get my license before I retire. I actually should get it just before my 30<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">th</span> birthday. **GASP**<br /><br />I tried my hand at dying fabric for the first time. I am making some teddy bears and <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">bunnies</span> out of terry cloth and could only find terry in the following <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">colors</span> :<br />White<br />Pink<br />Blue<br />Well I was going to use the white for the bunnies and really did not want blue bears...so I decided to turn some of the white terry into brown terry. I used <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Rit</span> Dye in the box in DARK COCOA. I followed the washing machine directions as I thought it would be the least messiest. It was really easy and pretty quick to clean up! I did drip a little of the die mix on the top of my dryer and it cleaned up in a snap with a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">clorox</span> wipe. (love those things)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6dvHguk9I/AAAAAAAAACY/M-WKByq4WnE/s1600-h/IMG_0782.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6dvHguk9I/AAAAAAAAACY/M-WKByq4WnE/s320/IMG_0782.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345383240531088338" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6d3Xaa3bI/AAAAAAAAACg/nOAOsV9gntQ/s1600-h/IMG_0787.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6d3Xaa3bI/AAAAAAAAACg/nOAOsV9gntQ/s320/IMG_0787.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345383382238551474" border="0" /></a><br /><br />The color turned out a little lighter than I would have liked but will work fine for the project that I am working on. Also because it was terry, it frayed really bad in the wash. I actually lost about 3 inches of usable fabric on all sides. It was kind of fun but don't see myself doing it often. If I do, do it again I will have to keep in mind that the color that it turns out is NOT going to be the color I anticipate it to be.<br /><br />K had her baby! I finally know the darn name and can now make her necklace!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6gqO9dTKI/AAAAAAAAACo/tfvIaaIf8pc/s1600-h/adaline+june.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6gqO9dTKI/AAAAAAAAACo/tfvIaaIf8pc/s320/adaline+june.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345386455166176418" border="0" /></a><br />I went to my mom's house over the weekend and got a few projects done for baby A.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6c7x3u21I/AAAAAAAAACI/s-Pzo9qGYdk/s1600-h/IMG_0773.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6c7x3u21I/AAAAAAAAACI/s-Pzo9qGYdk/s320/IMG_0773.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345382358548667218" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br />These are just some little terry cloth bibs with some <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">drooly</span> embroidery on the front. I really like the pink and green one but my mom likes the white and orange one. Honestly I think they are all three really quite cute.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6dOw4UC9I/AAAAAAAAACQ/Ae19et2bikg/s1600-h/IMG_0788.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6dOw4UC9I/AAAAAAAAACQ/Ae19et2bikg/s320/IMG_0788.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345382684700183506" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6hCD8NfNI/AAAAAAAAACw/rNSSfuWbsvs/s1600-h/IMG_0789.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6hCD8NfNI/AAAAAAAAACw/rNSSfuWbsvs/s320/IMG_0789.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345386864525016274" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6hOjrOgRI/AAAAAAAAAC4/BhHR3_YLU0o/s1600-h/IMG_0792.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6hOjrOgRI/AAAAAAAAAC4/BhHR3_YLU0o/s320/IMG_0792.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345387079202144530" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6hdydObHI/AAAAAAAAADA/oJl6Hk_oB84/s1600-h/IMG_0793.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6hdydObHI/AAAAAAAAADA/oJl6Hk_oB84/s320/IMG_0793.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345387340867988594" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Also I made myself some tags. Tags to put onto all of my makings and then they are labeled. I was in an incredibly uncreative mood and just put Oh, Craft! Which is fine for now...but if I ever decided to/get the opportunity to mass market...I may want to come up with something a little more clever. (I just typed cleaver.) So yeah I found this material that you can print off your computer. I got mine at <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">JoAnn</span> in the quilting section. I just used Microsoft Word to make the print and used a pretty yellow <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">paisley</span> print for the background (That thinking back on it...probably will not do again. After the tags are cut up you can't tell there is any <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">paisley</span> on it anyway. Oh well.) I printed it on paper about a million times to get the spacing figured out then finally onto the "special" paper.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6iNsBi26I/AAAAAAAAADI/46Ji1fCc-Cw/s1600-h/IMG_0783.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 322px; height: 242px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6iNsBi26I/AAAAAAAAADI/46Ji1fCc-Cw/s320/IMG_0783.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345388163774995362" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6idlR_bzI/AAAAAAAAADQ/81Hzgts_n58/s1600-h/IMG_0786.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6idlR_bzI/AAAAAAAAADQ/81Hzgts_n58/s320/IMG_0786.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345388436842835762" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I then cut them up individually and used fray stop on all of the edges. They look pretty slick and very professional.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6i_YBegUI/AAAAAAAAADY/BOsPVnHAZgc/s1600-h/IMG_0796.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2_qy1jzS6qI/Si6i_YBegUI/AAAAAAAAADY/BOsPVnHAZgc/s320/IMG_0796.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345389017399460162" border="0" /></a><br />Next time I make them, I will make a tutorial for them!<br /><br />I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was raining and really cold here. We actually turned on the heat! IN JUNE! But other wise it was good.
